“I agree,” I say, even as I know that’s not quite true.

“And the police…What are they doing, really?” Graham’s practically vibrating with frustration and injustice, which is very at odds with his even-keeled personality. “Walking their dog past your house? Following you to the movies? I mean, we’ve seen Brampton’s missing person statistics. What are the chances they actually find the person who killed Misha?”

That’s what I’m banking on. “It’s awful,” I murmur.

“Until then, I know what we can do.”

I look up. “Huh?”

Graham folds my fingers in his and peers deep into my eyes. His voice is somber when he says my name.

My heart’s pounding. “Yes, Graham?”

He gives Angelica’s gravestone a serious nod, like they’re making a pact. Then he turns back to me. “I think we should join the Brampton Kill Seekers.”
